Field Manual · Ice

Harvest ice, understand fuel, move less volume.

A compact reference for ice products, isotope families, security bands, compression habits, and the fuel-chain decisions that matter before you undock an exhumer or haul a full hold. Ice values and spawns can shift — please send feedback if something is off or missing.

Field rule: ice is fuel logistics. Isotope identity, compression, buyer depth, and hauling route often matter more than a single headline ISK number.

Ice quick read

Faction fuel

Isotopes define the chain

Clear, Glacial, Blue, and White map cleanly to Helium, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen isotope demand.

Shared products

Water, ozone, stront

Heavy Water, Liquid Ozone, and Strontium Clathrates are the non-isotope pieces that change structure and capital logistics math.

Volume problem

Compression matters

Ice blocks are bulky. Compress before moving volume unless the local sell or refine path already wins.

Safety

Ice belts attract attention

Predictable mining locations make Local, D-scan, bookmarks, scouts, and Gank Check part of the operation.

Ice product reference

Rows show practical refine products per block for common reference. Use live market tools before choosing a region, route, or exit.

Clear IcicleAmarr
Heavy Water69Liquid Ozone35Helium Isotopes414Strontium1
HeliumAmarr fuel-chain ice. A common isotope target when Helium isotopes are the bottleneck.
Glacial MassMinmatar
Heavy Water69Liquid Ozone35Hydrogen Isotopes414Strontium1
HydrogenMinmatar fuel-chain ice. Good example of checking isotope demand before chewing a whole belt.
Blue IceGallente
Heavy Water69Liquid Ozone35Oxygen Isotopes414Strontium1
OxygenGallente fuel-chain ice. Oxygen isotope liquidity can drive the whole mining decision.
White GlazeCaldari
Heavy Water69Liquid Ozone35Nitrogen Isotopes414Strontium1
NitrogenCaldari fuel-chain ice. Watch Jita-adjacent competition and compressed hauling value.
Glare CrustSpecial
Heavy Water1,381Liquid Ozone691Strontium35
NoneLowsec-and-deeper utility ice. Heavy water and ozone can matter more than isotope identity.
Dark GlitterSpecial
Heavy Water691Liquid Ozone1,381Strontium69
NoneValue-dense special ice. Treat extraction and hauling as the real risk layer.
GelidusSpecial
Heavy Water345Liquid Ozone691Strontium104
NoneNull-security special ice with strong Strontium value. Buyer depth matters.
KrystallosSpecial
Heavy Water173Liquid Ozone691Strontium173
NoneStrontium-heavy null ice. Do not move it blind through obvious pipes.
Clear Icicle IV-GradeAmarr
Heavy Water104Liquid Ozone55Helium Isotopes483Strontium1
HeliumImproved Amarr isotope ice. Treat IV-grade as a better-output variant, not a different lesson.
Glacial Mass IV-GradeMinmatar
Heavy Water104Liquid Ozone55Hydrogen Isotopes483Strontium1
HydrogenImproved Minmatar isotope ice. Price-check the isotope before hauling.
Blue Ice IV-GradeGallente

OxygenImproved Gallente isotope ice. Compression usually matters before transport.
White Glaze IV-GradeCaldari

NitrogenImproved Caldari isotope ice. Compare raw, compressed, and refined exits.

Fuel-chain logic

Isotopes are directional

Each empire ice family points at a different isotope market. Before mining for fuel, check whether you need the isotope itself, the shared products, or simply the best sell exit.

Do not haul spreadsheets

A block can look profitable until volume, route risk, refinery access, structure tax, and a thin buyer stack are counted.

Ice hauling habits

Compress firstReduce volume before long movement.
Scout choke pointsIce cargo is obvious and bulky.
Split loadsDo not make one killmail solve someone’s night.
Check depthBuyer volume decides whether the trip is real.
