• Guild Data: Discord Server ID, server name, and specific channel IDs where the bot is active. This is used to target killmail notifications and enable server-specific configurations.
• User Data: Discord user IDs and associated usernames of individuals who interact directly with the bot (e.g., via commands). This data is primarily used for command processing and providing user-specific functionalities.
• Killmail Data: Publicly available EVE Online killmail data, sourced from zKillboard and RedisQ. This data includes information about in-game ship destruction events.
• Subscription Data: Entity IDs (e.g., corporation, alliance, character IDs), associated Discord guild IDs, and specific subscription settings configured by users. This enables customized killmail feeds.
• Preferences: Optional user settings such as theme customization and display preferences, stored on the KillSync website.
• Notifications: If you opt into browser or push notifications, KillSync may store a subscription key for the purpose of delivering those notifications. This data is not shared with third parties.

2. How We Use This Data

The collected data is exclusively used to provide, maintain, and improve the functionality of KillSync. Specifically, we use this data to:

• Deliver relevant killmail notifications to subscribed channels.
• Track participation in PvP events for analytical purposes within the bot's scope.
• Enable sophisticated subscription filters, allowing users to customize their killmail feeds.
• Prevent the processing and notification of duplicate killmails.

3. Data Storage and Security

All collected data is securely stored in a private MySQL database. We are committed to protecting your information; therefore, we do not share, sell, or rent any user data to third parties. Access to this database is strictly limited to the bot owner and authorized technical personnel directly involved in maintaining the bot's infrastructure.

Standard connection logs (including IP addresses) may be retained for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting before being automatically deleted.

4. User Rights and Data Removal

KillSync is designed to minimize the collection of personal and sensitive data. We do not store private messages or any other highly personal information. If you wish to request the removal of your Discord user ID and any associated data from our system, please contact the bot owner directly via Discord or email, as detailed in the "Contact Information" section below.

5. Cookies and Website Tracking

The killsync.link website uses minimal technical cookies strictly for session security (e.g., CSRF protection). We do not use cookies to track users across websites or store personal data. Third-party analytics services (Matomo and Google Analytics) are embedded for anonymous usage statistics, which may use their own tracking mechanisms.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
